The coast line of Big Sur has always been on my wife and my dream list to do before we leave the West coast. So when we found out that we will be moving to Tokyo at the end of the year, we made plans to visit this magical coastline. The last stop on our road trip was Pfeiffer Big Sur state park to see the rocky beach at sunset. I wanted to see the sun glow on the rocks with the water crashing on the beach as the sun setting in the distance. Pfeiffer Big Sur State park is great place to visit for its well maintained trails and walkways. I really loved this area but the image I edited back then… well it looked like crap. Now it’s been almost 2 year and I went ahead and re-edited this image and I love it now. Now, I always keep my RAW files because of the experience from our trip to Maldives. I was shooting in JPEG back then…… Damn. I learned that keeping your RAW files is the smartest thing you could ever do because of times like this. Now whenever I go on vacation, I take a hard drive and just start dumping all the RAW files no matter what they are. This image was taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Sigma 15-30 lens(old version).
