Short post here…. So last weekend I had the chance to photograph a shot of Mt Fuji Sunset from at Gotemba Peace park. I was out with the wife enjoying the weather when we both noticed that Mt. Fuji has some amazing clouds near it and the setting sun was starting to turn the sky a nice yellowish color. Since I was only a 10 minute drive away from a great place to capture Mt Fuji Sunset, Gotemba Peace park, we both jumped in the car and headed up to the lookout to watch the setting sun and maybe capture some great photos. Once we arrived at the Peace park, we were greeted with the normal amount of Tour busses that come to this iconic location since it offers amazing views of Mt. fuji with the city of Gotemba at the base of it.
We headed up the hill and once I got to the hill top, I started to set up the gear for tonights adventure. The only issue that was killing me was the fact that I wanted to do some time lapse work with my Sony A7 and shot photos with my Sony A7R both of which need a Tripod and I only had 1 tripod with me….. This is where I had to think fast. I went ahead and set up the tripod with the sony A7R shooting stills with the Sony 10-18 lens and my wife was shooting with the A7 with the 28-70 kit lens. Right then I remembered that I had the Manfrotto Pixi table top tripod in my bag and I could use with my Iphone6 to get a simple time-lapse. we stayed at this spot till the sun was gone and then called it a night. Here are a video and some images of the Mt Fuji Sunset from Gotemba Peace park. Well I hope you enjoy the video cause am planning on making a lot more of this type of content. Please let me know what you did like and what you think I should do different in the comments down below.
