Last November I was asked by a few close friends to show them around Hakone and the local areas near by. So I rented a van and 5 of my pals with my wife took off early one morning to go and see the sights of Hakone. We had planned to visit the green paths of Kuzuryu shrine AKA Dragon Shrine, then travel up to Owaku-dani Valley to get some black eggs. After that, hit up Gotemba peace park and end it in at the Pagoda overlooking Mount Fuji and Fujiyoshida city. Well as we entered the lake area in Hakone, we found out it was Shichi-Go-San which means Children’s Shrine-Visiting Day or how I call it….. MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM! It turned out we did not have the time to visit Owaku-dani Valley but we did get to see Gotemba Peace Park. Not a lot of clouds on Fuji this day but it was still nice out. This was taken with a Canon 5Dm3 and the Canon 17-40. I did a HDR on it and the lighting was very dull so I edited it in Nik Analog to create a different look and feel in it.
